Getting your dream tech job is as simple as reading all the way to the end of this short article.
If I were to join a new tech company today, I'd most likely begin with the Sales & Marketing team and work in any of these roles :
1. Copywriting
2.Marketing management
3. Product Promotion
4. Creative/Brand
5. Demand and Operations
6. Digital Marketing 🔥
This is not only because I have seen the fat pay cheques that these roles can bring you if you know your onions, and it definitely is the life wire of ANY company in the world.
This is the department that brings in the mints and coins into the vault.
Some other reasons that might make my entry easier and necessary would be because I have garnered on-the-job experience as a :
Copywriter
Product Manager
Marketing Manager
Sales guy
Operations Guy
Customer service
CEO (Chief Everything Officer) 😅
Etc...
Name it!!! For my start-up, small start-ups, and some close friends' start-ups that I've assisted with sales or content ideas.
And I've seen traction.
It will be easier for me to say, "This is what works." Or "This doesn't work."
Because in the course of these, I've "practically" studied human psychology, ( I have a BSc in psychology tho 😅)buying behavior, and have made at least 1200+ people take action on a digital product on the internet within the last couple of months without ad spend.
Yes, next to zero ad spend.
Just a mastery of digital marketing and a "passive" deployment of strategies that work.
✅ Now what is the point of all of these.
1. As a job seeker, you don't need years of experience in a big company to secure a job in another big company. You need on the job experience at least.
But how do you get that?
- Start where you are.
- Gather experience by volunteering to put your skills to use.
- Start your own business and put your abilities to the test.
- If you can validate it, then other people can pay you for it.
- You don't wait idle. You wait practicing. It is going to be the résumé you'll rely on when traction is summoned.
2. Be visible. Post your traction on the Media. Talk about your journey. Tell your own story. Attract brands to you.
Stay Practicing!!!
